Create a Sacred Practice Space

  1. Establish a space where you can practice daily.  At a minimum there should be sufficient space for your body, with your arms and legs spread to their maximum.  If you have a small space and this in unrealistic, consider local churches, community centers or other semi-public spaces.  If someone should happen upon you there in your practice you can share the love!
  2. If you are able, create an altar of items that elevate your spirit – photographs of people you admire or people close to you, sacred texts from your own religious or spiritual tradition, objects that have significant meaning for you (malas, rosaries, etc.). This list could go on . . . .  if each and every item on your alter is uplifting to your spirit, you’ll be fine!  Practice near your alter.
